Postgraduate training of persons with higher medical and pharmaceutical education is carried out by the state educational institution Belarusian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education.

Postgraduate training of persons with secondary medical and pharmaceutical education is carried out by:

• Minsk State Medical College,
• Mogilev State Medical College,
• Mozyr State Medical College,

• Pinsk State Medical College,
• Polotsk State Medical College named after Hero of the Soviet Union Z.M. Tusnolobova-Marchenko,
• Slonim State Medical College,
• Slutsk State Medical College.

Postgraduate training is carried out in the form of:

• retraining of managers and specialists of the healthcare system;
• continuing professional development of managers and specialists of the healthcare system;
• internships of managers and specialists of the healthcare system.

The duration of retraining is:

• 4 months (500 academic hours) of full-time education (in 76 medical specialties)
• 12 months (500 academic hours) in the correspondence form of education (specialty "Organization of health care")
• 1 year 8 months (over 1000 academic hours) in the correspondence form of education (specialty "Medical Psychology")

The duration of continuing professional development is 0.25 � 1 month (40 � 160 academic hours).

Enrollment of students for training is carried out:

• by the referral of public health institutions (on a budgetary basis);
• at the request of unitary enterprises, self-supporting organizations, commercial structures (on a fee basis);
• by personal applications from individuals (on a fee basis).

Registration of students is carried out on the basis of the submitted documents:

1. Agreement for professional development (retraining) of a specialist in 3 copies
2. Referral for advanced training (retraining)
3. Passport and a copy of the passport (pp. 25, 30-32)
4. Diploma and a copy of the graduation certificate from a secondary specialized educational institution
5. A copy of the marriage certificate (if there is another surname in the diploma)
6. For nonresident students � a business trip certificate
